When I joined the Sunflower Charitable Foundation in 2025, I became part of an organisation shaped by the vision, values and generosity of its founding trustees. Guided by the belief that philanthropy should improve people’s lives and be rooted in listening, the Foundation is working closely with communities and NGO partners to understand needs, build trust and create lasting impact.

Since its establishment, the Foundation’s grant-making has combined support for innovative pilot projects and smaller-scale initiatives with larger, multi-year investments designed to deliver sustained, long-term benefits. It has invested in community-led capacity while also strengthening the key institutions that underpin lasting change—including universities and NGO partners, to improve environmental sustainability and the wellbeing of children and young people.

As CEO, my role is to support the trustees in stewarding the Foundation’s resources wisely, deepen the partnerships that make this work possible, and ensure that every grant approved by the Foundation contributes to meaningful, lasting change.
